Regional Housing Service

The adoption of CVRD Bylaw 4201 in 2018 established the Regional Housing Service (RHS) to provide an annual financial contribution to assist CHA with costs associated with providing programs and services related to affordable rental housing and homelessness prevention in the Cowichan Valley.

CHA will collaborate with and provide its expertise, knowledge, and support to organizations that intend to develop permanent affordable rental housing in the Cowichan Valley.

The RHS is intended to provide funding support to local organizations for permanent affordable rental housing projects, from concept to construction, and to leverage resources from other funders.

Components of the RHS administered by CHA are:

The Regional Housing Fund

RHF is available to non-profit organizations including registered charities and for-profit organizations who intend to develop permanent affordable rental housing.

We are committed to creating a culture of respect and dignity.

We welcome all who pass through our doors, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, disability, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, household composition, housing status, and/or belief system.
