How to Donate

Cowichan Housing Association (CHA) accepts donations through the GiveWise Charitable Giving platform. GiveWise is a registered Canadian Charity that will issue charitable tax receipts on CHA’s behalf.

​To donate, simply sign up to create a Giving Fund account here​​​

Once you are signed up you can:​
 

• Select the Give tab in the top menu bar

• Search for Cowichan Housing Association, this will take you to our profile page

• Select the Give Button to set up your donation

• You can donate to one of three gift designations:

o General Support

o Cowichan Rent Bank

o Homelessness Prevention Programming

 

By creating a Giving Fund account you can monitor your donations, donate to other charities and download your charitable tax receipts. ​

Tom Strong

Secretary

Tom Strong moved to the Cowichan Valley in the summer of 2019, retiring from a career as a Professor of Counselling Psychology at the University of Calgary. Originally born and raised on Vancouver Island, moving back meant encountering an unexpected and alarming degree of homelessness. Homelessness and mental health problems go hand in hand so being involved in addressing homelessness seemed one way of contributing to big picture wellness issues here in the Cowichan Valley. 

We are committed to creating a culture of respect and dignity.

We welcome all who pass through our doors, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, disability, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, household composition, housing status, and/or belief system.
